“I Love That Cornbread!” My picky eater says with the biggest grin.

Here is the way I make cornbread in my Airfryer. After a lot of trial and error, I have my recipe down and it only takes me about 20 minutes from start to finish.

It is perfect for the hard working mom or dad or anyone in the mood for some cornbread.

This recipe is also great for the summertime or in the hotter climate. Using an airfryer keeps your kitchen cool instead of using a conventional oven that will heat up your house.

I have had my airfryer for almost 2 years now. It took me a while to get the hang of it. I have had a lot of failures with this recipe but I finally have it down to a science.

If you follow my directions you won’t go wrong.

This is my go to when I’m in a hurry and I’m making beans in my Cosori electric Pressure Cooker. That recipe I will include in this page soon.

I use the Jiffy cornbread mix. I mix it according to the package instructions and you can add what you like to it. I add shredded cheese to my cornbread.

The important part with airfrying is to use the right time and temperature and covering with foil for the first 12 to 15 minutes at 340 degrees F until the last 3 minutes of frying.

Poking holes in the foil is necessary so that air can circulate allowing the mix to bake. Then, take the foil off for the final 3 minutes and turn the temperature up to 400 degrees F. allowing the top of the cornbread to brown.

  • Airfryer, 7 " cakepan, liquid measuring cup, stirring spoon, mixing bowl


  • 1 pkg jiffy cornbread mix
  • 1 Large egg
  • Cup milk
  • ½ Cup shredded cheese optional


  • mix all ingredients in mixing bowl until combined
    pour batter into 7" greased cake pan
    cover with foil with holes in the foil
    bake in airfryer for 13 to 15 minutes at 340°F
    Remove Foil
    bake for an additional 3 minutes at 400°F or until golden brown
